| Best Western Lakeside Inn | |
| One of the most unique buildings in the area is Kenora's Best Western Lakeside Inn. With it's cylindrical shape and top level viewing, you can see why it's a landmark of Kenora. Before going, make sure to book a lakeside room. If you get a chance, book an evening for dinner against the glass in the dining room (the view and sensation are wonderful). When you get there, a cozy fireplace, marble floors and lounging area invite you in. Reception and the elevators are across the hall from each other for easy access. Once up to your room, throw open the curtains and take in the view. Try to catch a late summer evening when "Sunset Country" shows the reason for it's nickname. After settling in, you'll find the room has the usual amenities including internet access, coffee maker & hairdryers (just in case). The rooms are clean and well-maintained (the Inn is highly rated for it's service quality). Pricing is fair and for families, it's nice to see that kids under 12 stay free in their parent's room plus a pool, restaurant and exercise room are available. Their sunday brunch has a wonderful selection and to cap off the day, spend a little time at the lounge beside the restaurant. The view overlooks the city right to Safety Bay. You'll find you are close to downtown shopping, the water and the recreation center (hockey rink, pool and gym). The Inn offers boat docking and there is a free boat launch across the street for the outdoorsman. Their slogan is "The only thing we overlook is the lake!" and the staff take it seriously.
